cuspdot is a non-profit space in Hangzhou where we organize exhibitions, workshops, and other activities.
An ordinary cusp occurs as the caustic of light rays in the bottom of a cup, and is an element that appears in everyone's life daily. We are concerned with the everyday and want to organize and self-govern through a collaboration based on the principles of horizontality and co-responsibility. It is a living, organic compositional process that is constantly being constructed and proceeds through listening, communication, emotion, and care. We care about how the space as a whole continues to operate in a healthy way, and we want everyone in the collaboration to be cared for more. How to be happy, how to learn more, how to care with love, how to make the space more like a family, and how to create a soft confrontation are all practices we aim to explore through the space itself.
