Little Gull will talk to you about various places in Hangzhou where you can go to see and meet birds, and also to share some of her experiences as a bird researcher.
"Hangzhou has several great places to go right in the city with good habitats and bird conditions. Whether you are a long-time local birder, a newcomer to birdwatching, or a foreign birder on a birding trip, you can enjoy the fun of bird-watching in Hangzhou. Hangzhou's birding spots are not few, from the city to the suburbs, from the inland to the seaside, from the plains to the mountains, combined with your target species and itinerary, a little screening can always find your favorite place. If you want to find forest birds, you can go to Hangzhou Botanical Garden, Jiangyangfan Ecological Park, Daqing Valley and Mid-levels National Forest Park and other mountain forests; want to see the lakes and fields of waterfowl, you can go to the North Lake Grass Swing, South Lake Park, Castle Peak Lake Forest Park and wetlands such as along the Qiantang River. Each bird spot has its characteristics and is worth a visit."
