This workshop on food and meal preparation is led by Hangping Yang, who spent a year as a chef in a German school cafeteria, and has taken on the roles of chef, sous chef, and ambient team member for many chaotic family dinners. He has a longstanding interest in affordable, beautiful, and simple cuisine, and believes that cooking can only escape its laborious nature when it is done for one's own pleasure.

In this workshop, he hopes to explore and reflect with the participants on the way we cook on a daily basis. Whether it is using food as a formula to manage our cooking and kitchen carefully with a philosophy of daily, deliberate living, or preparing a small show for the upcoming New Year's feast, we can exchange our family recipes in this workshop.
